Where are we lacking? Part I

As we embark on the first week of Project 4-centered work, questions may arise. Use the comments section of this entry as a space to talk about things you'd like to or need to know more about in order to succeed in this project and beyond.

For example, you could say that you need to know more about the writing process, or revision.

  1. I don't have any ideas for Friday's class, I feel prepared for project 4 and I think we've had interesting lectures.

  2. I feel that Mon and Wed groups meetings went well. Our advertising team has reviewed the Blue Collar Product Line's previous strategies and have come up with some new ones as well. I don't have any questions to be addressed in Friday's class.

  3. Our technical writing group seems to have a pretty good idea of where we're going regarding the written portion of the project. We still need to plan the presentation, though. It might be nice to talk briefly about this on Friday.

  5. As far as lacking is concerned, I do not think that it applies to our group discussions or anything we have done in the class so far. It seems that everyone is on the same page with what needs to get done and what is expected of group members. We all know what the final presentation and product needs to be and are working toward that.

  6. I think you already said that you were going to talk a bit about this, but I'd like to know a little more about stylistic choices for writing, especially the technical writing portions that are going into this project. Obviously, the engineers in the group have a much different writing background than I do, and the business majors an even different background. What stylistic choices are appropriate in each circumstance?

  7. I feel prepared enough for the project 4. However, for the homework assignment that is due this Friday, I did not feel ready. I just never had to write policy for a company before, and getting degree in Hospitality Business Management, it is a skill I might need to use. It would help if there was a reading in our textbook or some other PDF file, that we maybe could use as another example besides WSU one...

  8. Overall I'm pretty happy with my group and what we've been doing. We were able to identify where we wanted to advertise, and now its a matter of us getting some work done on our own. The only shortcoming has been mine. I never received the e-mail with all of the contact info, but I haven't proactively pursued it either. As a matter of fact, I think I will take care of that today. A little more communication would be good, especially between then sub groups!

  9. Our group was able to quickly establish tasks and return the next class period with outlines and ideas for where the project should be going. We have been fairly productive so far and I can only see that continuing.
